Alexey Borisovich Loskutov graduated from the Gorky Polytechnic Institute in 1976. He stayed to work as an assistant at the chair "Electric Power Supply of Industrial Enterprises and Cities".
He went through all levels of pedagogical positions (senior lecturer, associate professor, professor), and from 1993 to 2018, Aleksey Loskutov headed the chair of Electric Power Supply of Industrial Enterprises and Cities, which in 2013 was transformed into the chair of Electric Power Engineering, Power Supply and Power Electronics at Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev.
From 2004 to 2013, Aleksey Loskutov was vice-rector for research and the first vice-rector of the university.
Since 2018, he has been working as a professor of the chair of Electric Power Engineering, Power Supply and Power Electronics at Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev.
Aleksey Loskutov is known in Russia and abroad as an outstanding scientist in the most promising areas of development of power supply systems - intelligent electrical networks, digital substations, small and renewable energy.
Alexey Loskutov is a Prize winner of the Government of the Russian Federation, Honorary Worker of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. He was awarded the medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland”, II degree, “for merits in scientific and pedagogical activity, training of qualified specialists” In 2018.
